Do I need a referral to see a surgeon?
You only need a referral if your insurance company requires you to have one to see a specialist. Please Contact Our Office or call 775-789-4160 to find out if your insurance requires a referral.
Do I need to have authorization from my insurance company to have surgery?
At the time of your consultation, the surgeon will determine if you are a candidate for surgery. Once you have decided to schedule your surgery, our office will contact your insurance company for authorization.
I think I may need surgery, how much will it cost?
It is difficult to approximate your cost for a procedure prior to seeing our doctors, and actual costs can vary, but please contact our office or call 775-789-4160 so can estimate your procedure. Generally we can give you a much better estimate of your expected costs after you’ve seen our surgeons.
When is payment for my service due?
Office copay’s and coinsurance’s are due at the time of the office visit. Down payments for surgery are generally due two business days prior to the procedure.
How much will the facility bill me for my surgery?
Unfortunately we cannot approximate your cost for the procedure. The best thing to do is to contact the facility your surgery is scheduled at and ask them for an estimate.
Who will I receive bills from with my surgery/How many bills will I receive?
Depending on the procedure, you will receive a bill from the facility the surgery takes place at, from the Anesthesiologist, and from the doctor, if the balance was greater than the down payment you made for the procedure.
When will I receive my bill?
Generally you will receive a bill after your insurance has processed your claim, if you have a balance. If you have pre-paid you will not receive a statement. If you need a statement for insurance or reimbursement reasons, please contact our office or call 775-789-4160.
I just received my bill. When is the due date?
Generally your bill is due 30 days after the statement date.
I just received my bill and I can’t afford to pay it. What can I do?

I just received my bill and there is a finance charge. Why?
Our system automatically adds a finance charge. As long as you make regular monthly payments we reverse this charge and you will not be required to pay it.
It does not appear my insurance was billed. What can I do?
Please contact our office or call 775-789-4160 as it may be that we are not aware of your insurance, or we may need your help in pursuing insurance payment.
I just received my EOB from my insurance and it looks like I overpaid your office. When do I get my refund?
Please contact our office or call 775-789-4160 as soon as possible to ensure prompt processing of your refund.
What is my balance?
